Imagine a sky ablaze with the fiery trail of a comet, streaking across the vast expanse of the universe. The poetry that accompanies such a vision has the power to evoke emotions previously unimagined—awe, mysticism, and a deep sense of connection with the cosmos. Whether it's a sonnet praising the comet's grandeur or a free-verse poem exploring its impact on human existence, Comet Poetry opens a doorway to the realms beyond, where dreams and reality intertwine.

Other Short Pieces, a poetic form known for its brevity and delicate choice of words, has the ability to distill the essence of life, love, and nature into just a few lines. Each short piece is like a tiny world of its own, unfolding emotions and imagery with the utmost precision.

The long descriptive keyword for the alt attribute is "other short pieces image: glimpses of life's mosaic in miniature".

Imagine holding a collection of handwritten poems, each one a burst of creativity, a snapshot of a moment, or an expression of longing. Other Short Pieces encompass haikus, micropoetry, and minimalist verse, allowing composers to capture profound experiences in just a handful of words. These succinct compositions, like fragments of a mosaic, invite readers to interpret and explore the vast possibilities hidden within their concise nature.

North Pole Haiku: Dichotomy of Beauty and Harshness

North Pole Haiku, a poetic form derived from the traditional Japanese haiku, encapsulates the contrasting elements found within the frigid landscapes of the Arctic region. It harmonizes the tranquility of a snowy vista with the unforgiving cold, delivering a profound reflection on the duality of nature.

The long descriptive keyword for the alt attribute is "north pole haiku image: frozen serenity amidst brutal cold".

Imagine standing on a barren ice sheet, surrounded by endless stretches of snow-capped peaks and icebergs. North Pole Haiku invites us to immerse ourselves in this pristine wilderness and meditate on the divine beauty hidden within the unforgiving cold. It paints vivid imagery using minimal words, capturing the serenity and brutality in equal measure.

Here is Book # 7 in the odd series called NORTH POLE HAIKU.

Santa writes haikus—a peaceful practice suited to long, dark, cold nights. Emulating him, Mrs. Claus and each reindeer write haikus as well. Now, for the first time, we can read their artful and contemplative works. NORTH POLE HAIKU is a unique series that shows new sides of old friends. In all, the 10 books have 682 haikus to traverse. And the print books have interlocking back covers that form one image.

Keith Eldred worked with each “North Poet” one-on-one to shape the series. He contributed the supplemental pieces that conclude each book. This effort is part of THIS IS RED, a project with his wife Janet. Her diagnosis of dementia inspired their bucket-list moonshot. Learn more about that and see all THIS IS RED books on Keith’s author page.

Please note: Each sentence that you just read (plus this one),is, yes, a haiku.
